Local Attractions

The town of Cullompton is located approximately 2 miles from the site. This has many local amenities including a superstore, several pubs, restaurants and take aways which will deliver to the lodge.

The village of Willand is also 2 miles away, with a choice of pubs plus a post office, and for those wanting something different, Diggerland! Slightly further afield, there is a choice of National Trust gardens, the Grand Western Canal with it's unique horse drawn barge, access to Dartmoor and Exmoor plus the superb Jurassic Coast. All this fantastic scenery is less than an hour away. Whether you want to browse a large variety of shops, or watch outdoor Shakespeare performances in the summer months, Exeter is only 20 minutes away. A lovely sandy beach for warm summer days is at Exmouth, a further 15 minutes away. There is something for everyone, or you could just sit back and relax and enjoy catching some lovely fish whilst watching the stunning sunset from the lakeside.

There are a variety of pubs and take aways in the local town of Cullompton. Leaflets for some of the take aways are placed in the lodge for your convenience. In addition, you may like to think ahead and book a table for busier periods so please find below a few suggestions.

ASHILL INN - A local amenity offering a cosy friendly atmosphere with a comfortable lounge feature a brick-built fireplace. A fully stocked bar offers a good selection of real ales, lagers, spirits and fine wines. BLUEBELL RESTAURANT - Located in the village of Willand less than 10 minutes away. Offers home cooked food including breakfast and a lunchtime carvery on weekdays. Evening meals also served on Fridays and Saturdays. Tel: 01884 34355
